Blog and pages

Blog#

The Blog posts page lists your posts.

Blog post#

The Blog post section can show the featured image, date, author, tags, comments and more posts from the blog (Show featured image, Show date, Show author, Show tags, Show comments, Show more posts from the blog).

Comments appear when comments are turned on for the blog in Content > Blog posts > Manage blogs. When comments need approval, customers see a message saying so after they post.

Pages#

Pages use the Page section. Content width sets a Narrow or Wide reading column. Headings, lists, quotes and links in your page content are styled to match the theme.

About and FAQ templates#

Oriel includes two page templates with sections already in place. Choose one in the page's Theme template setting in Shopify admin, then edit the sections in the theme editor:

Keep the page's own text short, such as an introduction: the sections below it hold the rest. You can create more templates from the theme editor's template menu.

Contact page#

Create a page and choose the contact template in the page's Theme template setting. The Contact form section shows a subheading, the page title and your intro text beside the form, and can also show the page content and optional phone number and order number fields. Form heading sets the title above the form. Add Contact detail blocks for your email, phone, opening hours or helpful links: each one appears as a card with an icon you choose. The default contact template adds a Collapsible content section with quick answers below the form. Messages are sent to your store's email address.

Policy pages#

Write your policies in Settings > Policies. Oriel shows each policy with breadcrumbs, a large title and spaced sections, beside a menu of all your policies (a row of buttons on phones). When your store has a page with the handle contact, a "Questions about our policies?" link to it appears under the menu. The footer links to your policies when Show policy links is on.

Gift cards#

When a customer buys a gift card, the gift card page shows its value, code, a QR code to scan in store, a button to copy the code, Apple Wallet and printing.
